Treetopper for a Nightlight

When I was pregnant and waddling to the bathroom every two hours at night I needed more light so I wouldn't trip over and crush any sleeping dogs and cats who were silly enough to be in my wobbling path of destruction.
First we bought nightlights. Those helped but not enough. Then we bought those weird push light things and that wasn't all that great either. Leaving a light on all night worked but it was too bright, the bulbs had to replaced too often, not to mention it was an energy hog.
When I bought the light up Christmas tree topper for $.35 at an after holiday clearance, I just wanted it because it was pretty, but Wildwood Papa had the brilliant idea to hang it near the bedroom and leave it on at night. By then, we needed it to change diapers at night, soothe a fussy baby and for me, to breastfeed. Christmas lights and light up tree toppers use very little energy and they have a nice, serene glow...fantastic for anyone who needs to get up a lot during the night...works for us!

Very good idea...I have used different Christmas ornaments for other things...this may work for me!

This is a really great idea! AND, that price is perfect! I have to look around your blog to see a baby picture! They always make my day brighter!

That's a great idea! I am pregnant and tripped over my dog so violently the other night that I think I woke the whole house...and scared the dog to death!
